It all starts here, when we first speak. We offer all clients a 'no-obligation' meeting where I will establish what you want from your website, colours, style, type of design and your target audience.

2. Quote and first look.

Once I have had a chance to evaluate your requirements, I will produce a quote and if that is accepted, I will provide you with some website design ideas - so you and I make sure we are heading in the right direction

3. Ongoing work.

I will keep you updated with the progress of the website. You will have the chance to see the work being done. I can make any changes you specify during this period. The aim is to give you the website YOU WANT!

4. Finalise and training.

When I have completed the work on the website, if you have a CMS (content managed site) we will sit down with you and train you how to update your site. No specialist knowledge or software is required!!!

5. Take-off!!

The website goes live and you can start telling all your friends, business associates and clients about your new cyber-presence! My service does not stop there though. Pat the Website Man will provide ongoing support and help through mail and telephone!!

Always make sure YOU own your domain name. (That's the name of your website).

Don't always think cheap is good. When did you last get anything for nothing?

Make sure you understand just what your designer is going to do for you, how much they are going to charge and how long the job is expected to take.

Don't be afraid to ask questions and ask for explanations in simple English. It's easy to baffle someone with science.

Beware of promises to get you to Number One in the search engines - it's unlikely to happen quickly. (We give clients an honest assessment of the likely rankings for their website).

Websites will almost always need a 'helping hand' to place- that is RANKING to you - where the website is likely appear for the chosen keywords and phrases - we will advise on an SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) programme. Unless requested at the time, SEO is quoted for as required, as it is budget conscious.

Look at your designers portfolio. Not all their work will appeal to you. Remember (well certainly in our case) what the finished site looks like is to the taste of the individual client.

Make sure the hosting server is NOT in someones front room or small office. Our websites are all hosted in a professional data centre in the UK.
